Rooted in centuries of traditional feminine wellness practices, yoni steaming involves sitting over warm herbal steam to allow the botanical properties of herbs to gently envelop the external pelvic area. Many women incorporate yoni steaming into their self-care routines as a way to slow down, reconnect with their bodies, and support their overall feminine well-being.

Our Meadow Yoni Steaming Blend brings together a carefully selected collection of herbs traditionally used to support feminine wellness. Raspberry leaf is revered as a women's herb and has long been used to help tone and support the uterus. Rose petals offer a soothing, heart-centered quality while helping to calm and comfort during times of hormonal fluctuation. Mugwort has traditionally been used to encourage healthy menstrual flow and support cycle regularity, while motherwort is valued for its calming properties and its traditional use in supporting menstrual and postpartum wellness.

Calendula and yarrow are included for their soothing and restorative properties, making them popular herbs in postpartum care traditions. Lavandin provides a calming aroma that encourages relaxation and emotional well-being. Licorice root has been traditionally used to support hormonal balance, while rosemary helps stimulate circulation and brings a warming, invigorating element to the blend.

Together, these botanicals create a grounding ritual designed to support women through the changing seasons of their cycle and life. Whether used as part of a monthly self-care practice, during postpartum recovery, or simply as a moment of rest and reconnection, Meadow offers a gentle invitation to slow down and nurture yourself.

How To Use

Add 1/4 cup of herbs to the included muslin bag and place in 6–8 cups of water. Gently boil for 5 minutes, then remove from heat and allow to steep, covered, for an additional 5–10 minutes. Pour into a heat-safe bowl and allow to cool to a comfortable temperature before use to avoid burns. Sit comfortably over the steam for 20–30 minutes, draping a blanket around your waist to help retain steam. Alternatively, place the filled bag in a warm bath, allowing the herbs to infuse in the water for 8-10 mins and then soak. You may reuse each batch of herbs for one more steam as long as you keep them in the fridge after the first steam and use for a second time within 7 days. Muslin bag is reusable. Simply wash it out with warm soap and water and let air dry.

How do I yoni steam?

There are several ways to enjoy a yoni steam, and the best method is simply the one that feels most comfortable for you.

Many women use a dedicated yoni steam stool or chair designed specifically for steaming. Others place a heat-safe bowl of prepared herbs beneath a chair with an opening (like a commode), while some position the bowl between two sturdy chairs and sit comfortably with the bowl centered beneath them. A sitz bath is another comfortable option. If preferred, you may also squat over the steam for minimal setup. You may alternate between squatting and gently leaning forward with your body weight supported on your forearms. Whatever method is used, be sure to use a blanket to drape around yourself to trap the steam inside.

To steam, prepare your herbal infusion according to the directions, then allow it to cool to a comfortable temperature before use. Once seated over the steam, wrap a blanket or large towel around your waist and legs to help retain the warmth. Relax and enjoy the steam for approximately 20–30 minutes.

Many women choose to use this time for reading, journaling, prayer, meditation, deep breathing, or simply enjoying a few quiet moments to themselves. The most important part is comfort. This is not about doing it perfectly, but about creating a space to slow down, relax, and enjoy the experience.

  • How often should I steam?

Many women enjoy steaming 1–4 times per month depending on their personal wellness goals. Some choose to steam regularly as part of their monthly self-care ritual, while others use it occasionally during times of transition or recovery.
